SO FINALLY I posted this for real haha (cropped from the full version, cause otherwise the details would be too small) and this thing took me FOREVER. I started it about half-a-year ago from grayscale as an experiment and couldn't ever finish. It was horrible and painful and I tried so many times to move on but apparently my brain has difficulty working with grayscale or doing details, so it was like pulling teeth from the start. But after a long hiatus of RL business and no drawing anything at all, I finally sat down (about 2 months ago), and determined to finish this - NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I would have to redraw and redraw - and ended up not eating and drawing for 24 hours straight (then had dinner), then drew more. Began 8pm on a Friday evening, stopped sometime in the morning on Sunday. And the only way I could bring myself to finish was to scrap the whole starting from grayscale idea and skip to color from the start (yeah I'm slow apparently). I'm washing my hands of this thing, despite the many little things I'm still not satisfied with (FYI, for those curious - I had the most trouble with his neck jewel, redrew it maybe 23 times, and am still unsatisfied with it. 2nd difficult was his scar -which I redrew maybe 17 times- and shoulder armor ~15. Easiest was his billowing sleeve - finished that incredibly fast in maybe 1 hr and it's my favorite part, which goes to show the unfortunate inverse relationship of everything in this image...).Honestly I've learned my lesson - nothing is perfect, EVER. I'm grateful to the friends who were around (caephuier, Winyumi, Illycia, Loosty, and others) for listening to my endless raging and ranting and hatred) and who were able to encourage me to finish this awful monster.
