Only problem is Nabooru has brown skin... she isn't white...
Well before I reply, I realize I may have overstepped myself seeing as how you have not officially asked for 'critique'. So if you want my comments on it further, tell me, because otherwise I don't want to step on toes or anything.
Ah, a rational deviant, such a rarity these days.
Anyway, all that bugs me is that if she has a large hook nose, it would be more obvious. There's just no reason to think that's the case here, despite the lighting. And about the lighting, I know what you mean about highlights, but again, there's nothing to make me think she isn't just a white woman here. Look at photos of black or indian girls in bikinis, you'll see what I mean. The highlights are one thing, and often are shown as white light, but the tones are totally different...
Indeed. And I completely understand — I've been scarce on dA as well, for quite a while. It is nice to have an intelligent/critical dialogue for a change though, apart from the usual "ZOMG THIS IS AWESOME SO HAWT >> Thank yooou!" stuff haha. But with my remarks being said, I still think it's a great piece. Wish they'd bring the Gerudo back.
Also, it's not so much as her nose is hooked as it is large/long — the man in the photo you cited has a shorter, less outright hooked nose.
Here's the actual in-game model of her, see what I mean?
I'm not trying to be an art Nazi, but this is a really good piece and when it's so close to being perfect and the subject matter is near and dear to me, it's hard not to comment. Take it for what it's worth.
