To lost ones innocence is to relinquish the very fabric of your being. They say that such an even can never allow you behave or feel how you once did before the event occurred. A torrent of emotions can shroud your mind and your judgment, causing your thoughts and morals to undergo a rapid and almost sudden metamorphosis. The ones you once knew may not recognize you in this state and may find that your personality no longer flourishes but rather stagnates with a strange and enigmatic signature that no longer belongs to you. What you once were, will remain as nothing more than a somber dream that will never come back to you no matter how many times you seek it. Deliver Your Innocence, created =reaper-bunny, presents the depiction of an individual undergoing such a personal transformation of the mind as their innocence is siphoned from their being. The design style in addition to a rather haunting and almost dream-like color palate breathes life into this dream state and into the mind of the subject.

If there is one thing that caught my eye, it has to be the beautiful design of the scenery and how well the character stands within it. The very perspective of the design makes the entire landscape feel like its being manipulate by the subject's willpower. How the pomegranate in his hand was the main regulator for the landscape and kept the world in balance. With the "forbidden fruit" now in his hand, he has no taken the world off balance and it is his to control. As he stands before the forest with his prize in his grasp, one can picture the scene as it unfolds. The wind wisps about his translucent, silken clothing. The trees, with their branches extended toward the moon, as if to pluck it from the sky to grant their new master an even greater prize. The atmosphere is thick and foreboding, much like the very forest itself. The eerie shine of the moon gives the scene a very subtle, moonlit glow.

As solid as the atmospheric tension and the wooded area both haunting and surreal, there are still some things that could be done to improve your craft. Some of the brushed tree bark texture could be a bit more refined. Since this isn't a speed-paint, some of those lined could go with a bit more detail added into them rather than having them appear to stand out so pronounced. Another thing would be to try and add some motion blur effect to some parts of the image. Something about the way the image is drawn, it just feels like everything should be moving around the landscape and even the character itself. Try to add a level of wind motion swirling around the character or even dead leaves to emulate the look and impression of leaves swirling about the area.

Within itself, there is so much to like about this piece. From the dream-like location to the deep symbolism swimming beneath the brushstrokes of the image, its is a definite piece to love and add to any favorite list. Congratulations.
